Your privacy matters to me. This notice explains what personal information I use, why I use it, who I may share it with and how long I keep it.

I am responsible for the personal information used by ID Driving School.

What information I use

If you contact me about lessons, I may collect:

  • your name and contact details
  • your postcode or collection area
  • whether you hold a provisional driving licence
  • your availability
  • information you choose to include in your enquiry

If you become a pupil, I may also use information needed to provide and manage your lessons, including:

  • driving licence information where needed
  • bookings and lesson history
  • learning progress and lesson notes
  • payment and transaction information
  • driving test information you choose to share

Most information comes directly from you, for example through the website, email, telephone, WhatsApp or during your lessons.

Website enquiries are sent to my business email and are not intentionally stored as WordPress form entries.

Health information

You may choose to tell me about a health condition, disability or medication that is relevant to your driving or lesson safety.

I only record health information where it is genuinely necessary and will ask for your explicit consent where I need to keep it.

Health information is given additional protection under data-protection law and I keep it to the minimum necessary.

Why I use your information

I use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries
  • arrange and provide driving lessons
  • manage bookings and pupil records
  • monitor learning progress
  • communicate with you about lessons
  • manage payments and financial records
  • administer Terms and Conditions
  • deal with questions, complaints or disputes

  • Legal obligation – where I am required to keep or disclose information by law.
  • Legitimate interests – where reasonably necessary to operate and protect the business, maintain appropriate records or deal with complaints and disputes.
  • Consent – where the law requires your choice, including optional website analytics, identifiable photographs or testimonials, and explicit consent for health information where applicable.

I do not sell your personal information.

Terms acceptance

If I send you a private Terms Acceptance link, your name, email address and the information needed to identify the correct Terms version are used to provide the acceptance process and confirmation.

The website does not use its technical Terms Acceptance database as a customer database. Successful acceptance is confirmed by email, including the relevant Terms document.

Reviews and photographs

I may display reviews that customers have chosen to publish publicly, using only information reasonably necessary to show the review and its source.

If you provide a testimonial directly to me for publication, or I want to publish an identifiable photograph of you, I will ask for your permission.

You can contact me if you later want me to stop using a photograph or testimonial that you provided directly.

How long I keep information

I only keep personal information for as long as it is reasonably needed.

Information is deleted or securely disposed of when there is no longer a reasonable reason to keep it.

International data transfers

Some service providers used for communications, cloud services or analytics may process personal information outside the UK.

Where this involves a restricted international transfer, appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data-protection law are used, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.
